Eight years ago, I was introduced to someone who helped change the direction of my life.  I am quite positive that I am not the only person whose life has been impacted by this one person.  The funny thing, this is the first time that I have been able to speak with and thank Scott Hanselman.

Scott Hanselman is a programmer, teacher, and speaker. Although Scott maintains a full-time role for the Web Platform Team at Microsoft, it is his obsession and enthusiasm for technology and deliberate practice that I have found him to be an impactful person in my life.

I strongly encourage you to watch Scott's talk, Scaling Yourself, which is applicable for parents, younger people beginning their careers, and for people who find themselves in the throes of a life transition.  Our conversation is wide-ranging, covering how we can give ourselves the gift of grace, asking ourselves if we are saving babies, and how to be intentional with our time and those around us.

Be sure to check out the show notes where I link to Scott's Scaling Yourself talk, and other resources that we discussed during our discussion.

Please enjoy my conversation with Scott Hanselman.
